Post-Admission Nursing Procedures in the Women’s Department: In both direct and non-direct admissions, a patient file is created. After contacting the treating physician and obtaining information about the patient’s height and weight, necessary actions for the patient will be taken. For surgical cases, after coordinating with the physician and obtaining information about the type and time of the operation, the information sheet is completed and sent to the operating room. If deemed necessary by the treating physician, actions such as blood reservation, routine or specific tests, consultations, ECG, chest X-ray, IV insertion, prophylactic injections, and preoperative shaving are performed. After obtaining the necessary consents from the patient and their companion, the patient, wearing gowns and being NPO (nothing by mouth), is accompanied by a nurse and a caregiver to the operating room on the day of the surgery.

Nursing Procedures for Patients Under Observation: Necessary actions will be taken under the orders of the treating physician, usually in the form of vital sign checks, IO checks, FHR checks, NST checks, necessary sonographies, consultations, and other necessary instructions.
